  FORRESTPERKINS Collection to Debut
at Hospitality Design Expo 2002
-
DALLAS, Texas (April 26, 2002) - Philadelphia Furnitures FORRESTPERKINS Collection will make its debut during the Hospitality Design Expo (HD 2002) on May 2-4 in Las Vegas.  ForrestPerkins is known for defining luxury for hotels and resorts worldwide.

The design firm is pleased to share the birth of new possibilities as they turn their creativity and knowledge of the luxury hotel market to designing an important new collection of furnishings specifically developed for use in rooms and suites of upscale hotels.  This exciting, new venture for ForrestPerkins provides a valuable opportunity for luxury hotel designers, according to Stephen Perkins, principal in charge of the ForrestPerkins Washington, D.C, office.

A key advantage of the Collection, says Perkins, is that pieces are configured to meet requirements of hotels and constructed to exacting quality standards, and they are available for a minimum order of 25, making them perfect for suites, single-floor renovations or boutique hotels.

Philadelphia Furnitures FORRESTPERKINS Collection includes five groups of pre-engineered case goods that ForrestPerkins designed specifically for luxury hospitality use.  The five groups of the Collection are:

1)  Milano clean, sophisticated lines that make it appropriate for upscale contemporary hotels and fashionable boutiques.
2)  Mayfair a classical 18th-century English group inspired by the designs of Thomas Sheraton.
3)  Santa Barbara will find its home in resorts and hotels that reflect a Spanish Mediterranean style.
4)  Port Royal an exuberant British Colonial-style collection that celebrates the originality of the island craftsmen whose interpretation of traditional 18th-century English furniture evolved into a style of its own.
5)  Aix simple lines derived from country French antiques that will be comfortable in a resort or a more traditional city setting.

The FORRESTPERKINS Collection sprang from Philadelphia Furnitures desire to create beautiful, well-designed and finely crafted pre-engineered furniture for luxury hotels and resorts, upscale vacation residences and boutique hotels attainable at lower minimums and more quickly than purely custom furniture.

Philadelphia Furniture sought out ForrestPerkins for their recognized leadership in the luxury hospitality market and because they knew ForrestPerkins would be sensitive to the designers need to create an original high-quality environment and the owners need to acquire well-made guest room furniture at a reasonable price.

The pieces are classically styled and proportioned, with the level of detail and finish found in high-end residential furniture, but configured for the requirements of luxury hotels and resorts.  Designers will be able to achieve individuality on each project through the many custom options the Collection affords, as well as their own unique approach to the other design elements in a room or suite.

For designers of luxury hotels, the most important reason to specify items from the Collection, and the reason ForrestPerkins chose to be a part of its development, is the craftsmanship and pride Philadelphia Furnitures employees build into each piece, says Deborah Lloyd Forrest, principal in charge of ForrestPerkins Dallas office.   The engineering and fabrication are the best in the business, and ForrestPerkins is proud to place its name on every piece.
