THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS, March 28, 2002�Benchmark Hospitality has announced
the appointment of Bradford D. Jencks as general manager for Turtle Bay
Resort, a 485-guestroom property located on the northern tip of Oahu, Hawaii.
Burt Cabañas, chairman & chief executive officer for Benchmark,
made the announcement.
Mr. Jencks� Hawaiian experience includes serving as vice president of Inter-Continental Hotels & Resorts, based in Honolulu, Oahu, and as general manager of the Maui Inter-Continental Resort, located in Wailea, Maui. Before this he was vice president, Outrigger Hotels Hawaii, located in Honolulu and previous to this, general manager of Halekulani, a Leading Hotels of the World property also located in Honolulu. Prior to this, Bradford Jencks served in positions of increasing responsibility for Westin Hotels & Resorts properties located in Washington, DC, and metropolitan Detroit, and of Americana Hotels located in Honolulu, Jackson Hole and Palm Springs. Mr. Jencks graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University, located in Ithaca, New York. He also attended the International Management Executive Program at Columbia University in New York City. Turtle Bay Resort features 485 guestrooms, 25,000 square feet of meeting space, four food and beverage outlets and two lounges. Amenities include two 18-hole golf courses, three outdoor pools, ten tennis courts, a spa and fitness center, horseback riding, surfing and hiking.
