October 4, 2001, Atlanta - GuestHouse International, the owner-friendly
franchise, announced that franchisee Gary Hong has been honored with the
California Lodging Industry Association's (CLIA) Chairman's Award. The
Chairman's Award is presented each year to a CLIA member who has made significant
or unique contributions to the betterment of the association. Mr.
Hong, owner of the GuestHouse International Inn & Suites in Santa Clara,
was presented with the award at CLIA's Annual Gala Awards Dinner in September.
"We are very proud of Gary," said GuestHouse International President Rob Wilson. "He has done a lot for the industry, and we are honored to have him as a GuestHouse International franchisee."
The California Lodging Industry Association is the largest independent state lodging association in the United States. CLIA is dedicated to providing specialized services and programs to assist independent lodging owners and operators of all types of lodging facilities by promoting a more prosperous climate through service, education and profit-oriented programs.
