Lawrenceville, GA, November 8, 2001 - Inter-American Data (IAD), the developer of Lodging Management System (LMS) hospitality software and e.FileClerk document imaging software, has announced that Sams Town Las Vegas and Sams Town Tunica (MS), subsidiaries of Boyd Gaming Corporation, have selected the LMS property management system as well as the LMS ResNet web booking module to enhance operations and guest services.

LMS is an integrated property management software system designed to create economies of scale and provide greater control of front office, accounting and housekeeping operations. Its versatile foundation expands to incorporate additional software modules from IAD and other vendors. LMS ResNet is a Web-based real-time reservation system that allows customers to check hotel room and rate availability, book reservations, pay for a room with a credit card and receive an e-mail confirmation.

In selecting a property management system, vendor reliability and experience were top priorities, said Denny Frey, Vice President of Information Systems for Boyd Gaming. One reason we selected LMS is because of its successful track record at other gaming facilities. Whats more, LMS is versatile. It provides excellent integration with other vendor products.

Key executives of Boyd Gaming, as well as members of each hotels operations staff, participated in the software selection process. Decision-makers observed LMS in operation at several Las Vegas properties and also talked with other IAD LMS clients.

We are pleased that Sams Town has selected our software, said Michael Caruso, Director of Hospitality Sales for IAD in Las Vegas. Boyd Gaming is a respected player in the industry. The installation of LMS is very exciting for our company.

The propertys two-level casino offers guests more than 40 table games and 2,700 slot machines.

It features a 1,600-seat entertainment center, 18-hole Scottish links style golf course, state-of-the-art RV park and two-level casino.
