ATLANTA, Ga., December 5, 2001 - Stormont Hospitality Group, LLC announced
today that it has formed a regional partnership alliance with Stephen D.
Moffett and SDM Financial, Inc. The purpose of this partnership is to continue
the company�s efforts in pursuing hotel, conference center, and resort
development opportunities in the central and western states.
Stephen Moffett is an experienced professional having negotiated and closed over $350 million in real estate debt and equity financing, representing both borrowers and lenders. His background includes six years as a loan officer for an internationally based bank, six years as chief financial officer for a national real estate development company, numerous financial and management positions early in his career, and three years at a �Big 6� public accounting firm. Stephen Moffett�s responsibilities will focus on developments located west of the Mississippi River. His base of operation will be Irving, Texas. The company�s current western region development projects include a 300-room Marriott hotel and conference center in Sugar Land, Texas, and a 450-room convention center hotel in Las Colinas (Irving, Texas). Stormont Hospitality Group and its predecessor Stormont Trice Development Corporation have completed hotel development projects representing over $500 million. The current projects in the planning process represent in excess of $400 million in hotel, conference center and resort projects. Atlanta-based Stormont Hospitality is an independent third-party developer of fine hotels, conference centers and resorts. The company tailors a full range of services to each client�s and project�s needs. Stormont Hospitality Group serves private investors, municipalities, public/private investment groups and others who do not have the in-house staff to manage the demands of a complex hotel development. |
