| December 3, 2001 - Six Continents Hotels, one of the world's
leading hotel companies, announced today that Mike Goodson has been named
senior vice president, finance, for the Americas. In this role, Goodson
will be based in Atlanta and will have responsibility for the management
of financial operations for all Six Continents Hotels financial services,
management and financial reporting, hotel accounting, and financial planning
and analysis for North America and Latin America.

| As Senior Vice President, Finance, for the Americas division,
Mr. Goodson is responsible for the management of financial operations for
all Six Continents Hotels properties and businesses in North and South
America.
Departments reporting to Mr. Goodson include Six Continents
Hotels' Americas Financial Services, Americas Management and Financial
Reporting, Americas Hotel Accounting, and Financial Planning and Analysis
for North America and Latin America. |

"Prior to being named senior vice president, finance, Americas, Goodson
spent 13 years serving in a variety of senior finance management positions
at Six Continents Hotels. These positions have included vice president,
finance, Asia Pacific; vice president, corporate finance; and corporate
controller. Prior to these roles, Goodson served for two years developing
the Six Continents Hotels (then Bass Hotels & Resorts) worldwide tax
team in Europe, and, prior to that, served as vice president, tax.

Goodson is a native of Ocala, Fla., and a graduate of the University
of Florida. He is married to wife Ava and has two daughters, Abbey and
Hannah.
