  Hilton Musters Significant Relief Efforts in NYC 
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif - Sept. 27, 2001--Hilton Hotels Corp. today announced that it has completed a companywide fundraising campaign benefiting The American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
      
Employees from Hilton's nearly 2,000 hotels nationwide, together with Hilton Hotels Corp. and the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation contributed a total of more than $1,000,000.00 to the fund. Of that total, more than $400,000 was donated by individual team members.
      
"Our thoughts continue to be with those who have been affected by the tragedy of September 11th, and I couldn't be more proud of our team members around the country who have stepped up and given so generously of their time, money and energies," said Stephen F. Bollenbach, president and chief executive officer, Hilton Hotels Corp. "It is this sort of dedication that makes our people the best in our industry."
      
Elsewhere within the Hilton family, Hilton HHonors(R), the company's guest loyalty program is offering its interested members the opportunity to donate their Hilton HHonors points to either the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund or to the International Committee of the Red Cross.
      
For each 10,000 HHonors points donation, Hilton HHonors will contribute $25.00 to the Red Cross Charity the member chooses. To donate HHonors points, members may call 800/548-8690 in the United States or the Hilton HHonors Customer Service nearest them outside the United States.
      
The Hilton(R) Family of Brands has also been the official/preferred lodging choice for American Airlines and United Airlines needing housing for families of victims of September 11th tragic events.
      
Over the past few weeks, emergency centers from the airlines have contacted the Hilton emergency center in Memphis where the guest assistance team has made all the necessary room reservations.  Payment has also been coordinated through guest services thereby eliminating any further inconvenience for affected families and others.
      
In the Tri-State area, local hotels have also contributed significantly to the relief efforts. The Waldorf=Astoria(R), along with its sister Hilton hotels in New York, is taking part in the daily donation of accommodations that are distributed through the New York City Hotel Association to victim families.
      
They have also donated a number of rooms to FEMA to house rescue workers and others as needed.  The Waldorf kitchen has been delivering sandwiches and hot food to the relief workers and is donating food product for hot meal preparation being arranged by City Harvest for the rescue team. Daily meals are also being served to members of its local fire department and police precinct.
      
The Hilton Hotels of Westchester County (Ryetown and Tarrytown) made arrangements with the local and state municipalities to have food, beverage, clothing and other needed items delivered directly to the disaster site via state police escort.
      
The Hilton Times Square and the Doubletree Guest Suites(R) New York have also contributed significantly to relief efforts. The Times Square property provides prepared food to the Embassy Suites Hotel(R) Battery Park, which is being used as a staging area for rescue workers and offered complimentary rooms for the City Controllers Office to use at their disposal.
      
The Doubletree Guest Suites offered complimentary rooms to displaced Battery Park families and is offering 20 rooms per night to Ladder 4, their local firehouse that lost 15 men in the tragic attack. The Embassy Suites Hotel(R) Battery Park has also offered complimentary accommodations to the Midtown North Police and for Sheriff's deputies from surrounding areas who have come to assist.
      
The Doubletree Club(R) in Jersey City, N.J., provided complimentary meeting space for Red Cross volunteers, grief counselors and local law enforcement personnel, and provided facilities for relief workers to rest, shower and eat.
      
The Hilton Short Hills is donating needed supplies to the American Red Cross and Doubletree(R) Somerset Executive Meeting and Conference Center in Somerset, N.J., conducted a blood drive and is serving as a drop off site for clothes and other items designated for the American Red Cross.
