Manager for Guangdong Asia International Hotel, Guangzhou, China Confirms Expansion Plans Into Asia |

Hong Kong � July 12th, 2001- Pertlink the global network linking Hospitality
with IT, announced today that Guangdong Asia International Hotel, Guangzhou,
China has enlisted its services to advise and oversee the implementation
of technologies at this new hotel.
Terence Ronson, Managing Director of Pertlink, said the agreement between these two companies will help establish the Guangdong Asia International Hotel as a Cyber Business and MICE Hotel. Guangdong Asia International Hotel is due to soft open on October 1st, 2001 and will be the first of its kind in Guangzhou. The hotel is owned by the Guangdong Huahai Group, and managed by Kelly (International) Hotel Management Ltd, a local group. The 46 storey building comprises 454 rooms and suites, 160 offices for public use, various food and beverage outlets as well as a rooftop revolving restaurant, and helipad. The hotel expects to deploy in excess of twenty five different computer systems to help automate various processes, thereby allowing the staff more freedom to focus on customer service and increase overall efficiency and guest satisfaction. Incorporated into the high-tech friendly rooms, will be systems to facilitate convenient communications for today�s and tomorrow�s road warrior. Plug N Play Broadband will be available in all rooms, and the hotel expects to pioneer VoD (video on demand) so that guests will be able to enjoy unparalleled state of the art entertainment at their convenience, and not that of the service provider. Web phones will also be phased in, as will wireless internet in the Executive Lounge, some of the public areas and extensive function rooms. It is also planned to install Energy management systems with motion detectors to ensure guests experience the highest levels of comfort, at the same time helping the hotel reduce energy costs. Using an eNewpaper technology, guests will be able to select and print a daily newspaper of their choice.
