Singapore, 2nd July 2001 - Leading European hotel chain Sol Meliá
today announced the appointment of Mr. Alfonso Romero as the new General
Manager of Meliá Hanoi in Vietnam.
A Spaniard, Mr. Romero brings to the post more than 15 years international
experience in the hospitality industry, having held senior management positions
with a number of hotels throughout Spain and Asia.

The company is also the world's largest resort hotel chain.
