A Spaniard, Mr. Romero brings to the post more than 15 years international experience in the hospitality industry, having held senior management positions with a number of hotels throughout Spain and Asia.
 

Mr. Romero's extensive experience in Asia includes that of being General Manager for Meliá Hua Hin in Thailand and before that Meliá Benoa All-Inclusive Resort in Indonesia. Prior to his appointment in Meliá Hanoi, Mr. Romero was assigned as Sol Melia's Project Manager for China where he assisted with project consultancy and new business development.
