Stormont Hospitality Group, LLC Plans to 
Develop a Hotel and Conference Center for 
the City of Suffolk, Virginia
ATLANTA, Ga., May 15, 2001 - Stormont Hospitality Group, LLC announced that it  has signed a Master Development Agreement with the Industrial Development Authority of the City of Suffolk, Virginia to develop a 150-room full service Hilton Garden Inn, a 7,500 square foot Conference Center and a 185 space Parking facility.  Construction of the project is scheduled to begin in the Fall 2001.
        
Stormont Hospitality Group is the successor to the former Stormont Trice Development Corporation, has successfully completed more than $500 million in new hotel development. 

Stormont Hospitality Group most recently completed the 750-room Marriott Hotel and Convention  Center in Baltimore, Maryland which opened February 15, 2001 and the 250-room Renaissance  Hotel and Conference Center in Portsmouth, Virginia which opened in January 2001.
        
Stormont Hospitality Group also announced that it has signed a Letter of Intent with Metric Constructors of Marietta, Georgia to provide the general contractor services for the Hilton Garden  Inn Hotel and Conference Center in Suffolk, Virginia.  Stormont Hospitality Group has worked  with Metric Constructors on other successful development projects such as the Hyatt Regency in Wichita, Kansas, Franklin Marriott Hotel and Cool Springs Conference Center in Franklin,  Tennessee and the Residence Inn by Marriott at Lenox Park in Atlanta, Georgia.
