LodgeWorks Selects Unirez to Provide
Next Generation Reservation Services

DALLAS, TX / Wichita, KS (May 9, 2001)  -  Dwight Hendrickson, President and C.E.O. of Unirez, Inc., announced today that it has signed a three-year agreement with LodgeWorks to provide reservation services. Headquartered in the Wichita, KS, LodgeWorks owns and operates the national, 17-property Sierra SuitesSM hotel brand.

Under the agreement, Unirez will function as the exclusive provider of reservations technology and electronic distribution to all of the Sierra Suite properties. Through the Unirez ASP system, LodgeWorks will be connected to all Global Distribution Systems in a seamless environment as well as bookable through other major alternate distribution channels including Travelocity, Expedia and Travelweb.  In addition, LodgeWorks proprietary web site, sierrasuites.com will be linked to the Unirez booking engine providing on-line reservations and instant confirmation to guests using the Internet to make their reservations at any of the Sierra Suites nationwide.

"LodgeWorks is a very exciting, cutting-edge company that is committed to reinventing the way guests stay in a hotel," said Hendrickson. "Likewise, Unirez is committed to reinventing both the services and technology available to the hospitality industry. LodgeWorks is known for its endless pursuit of guest satisfaction, and we are continually striving to earn the respect of our clients by providing the kind of support and service they demand from themselves. The match could not be better for both sides."

"The Unirez technology will allow our hotels to manage inventory in one location," said Chris Gebert, LodgeWork's Senior Vice President and lead for the CRS search team. "Inventory will then be interfaced with the GDS, sierrasuites.com, third-party web sites and a Property Management System which will be selected in the near future. Unirez provides the technology backbone that will enable us a snapshot view of each Sierra Suites hotel's inventory. The single view will provide incredible efficiency and allow us to comfortably take advantage of all our distribution channels," explains Gebert. "In addition, our hotel teams will be able to view, make or change reservations for any hotel in the Sierra Suites system."

Rodney Wise, Unirez's Executive Vice President and C.O.O. added, "LodgeWork's application is perfectly suited for our system. Since our technology is web-based, LodgeWork's will have the power of an integrated reservation system that can operate anywhere with an Internet connection."

LodgeWorks is a hotel management and development company. Their accomplished team founded three national hotel brands; Sierra Suites Hotels, Summerfield Suites by Wyndham, and years before, Residence Inn by Marriott. LodgeWorks owns and operates the national 17-property Sierra Suites hotel brand and manages nine Summerfield Suites by Wyndham hotels.

Unirez services nearly 1,800 hotels representing over 262,000 guestrooms worldwide.  Unirez owns and operates its own reservation system utilizing the ASP model which allows all applications to run via the Internet.
