  Patty Henning and Krista Boling Appointed to Key Committee Posts for National Trust Historic Hotels of America 

 
WASHINGTON, D.C., May 4, 2001 -- National Trust Historic Hotels of America, a collection of more than 170 historically significant hotels, announced its 2001 sales committee, the formation of a meeting and travel professionals advisory panel and the 2001 public relations committee.

2001 Sales Committee

Patty Henning, director of sales and marketing at Jekyll Island Club Hotel in Jekyll Island, Ga., was selected chairman.  Henning has served on the Historic Hotels sales committee since 1996. 

Jane Nordstrom, director of education for Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International in Washington, D.C., joined the sales committee as an advisor.

In addition to advising the National Trust Historic Hotels of America staff on key sales issues, the role of the committee is to develop a strong, consistent group sales initiative.

To provide additional guidance, Jane Nordstrom, director of education for Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) in Washington, D.C., has been named an advisor to the HHA sales committee. 

Meeting and Travel Professionals Advisory Panel

�We are seeking the advice and counsel of meeting and travel professionals to help Historic Hotels identify industry standards, issues and trends.  This panel will give us the information we need to better reach the meeting and travel planning community,� said Michael Di Rienzo, director of sales and advertising for Historic Hotels of America.

The panel meets annually in conjunction with the Historic Hotels of America sales committee to assist in the development of the organization�s sales plan. Panel members were selected because of their affinity to select Historic Hotels for their clients.

2001 Public Relations Committee

Krista Boling, director of public relations at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort in St. Petersburg, Fla., continues as chairman of the committee.  Boling has served on the National Trust Historic Hotels public relations committee since 1998.  In addition to advising the National Trust Historic Hotels of America staff on key marketing issues, the role of the public relations committee is to increase the visibility of the organization.
