for In-Room Wireless High-Speed Connectivity |
OKLAHOMA CITY --- May 31, 2001 --- An agreement between InternetINNS.com
Corporation and eHotel, Inc., providing high-speed in-room Internet access
and infrastructure software for guests has been finalized.
According to InternetINNS.com (TM ) CEO, David C. Littlefield, the strategic alliance partnership with eHotel brings an affordable, wireless Internet solution to its franchised lodging properties for the convenience of guests as part of the companys hospitality technology package. This basic service will be featured throughout the InternetINNS.com system of newly constructed hotels as well as in conversion properties. Infrastructure software technology, such as the eHotel solution, strengthens InternetINNS.coms position in the lodging market as the High-Tech Hospitality (TM ) provider, states Littlefield. Plus, it reinforces the uniqueness of our global lodging franchise company. Guests benefit greatly from this alliance, according to Littlefield. High-speed Internet access, network-based printing and easy-to-send and receive e-mail capabilities are critical to business travellers. The eHotel and InternetINNS.com partnership gives our guests these increasingly important and convenient amenities. This network technology also permits guests to print on-site without changing or installing any printer driver, and to use e-mail client programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Netscape Communicator and so forth without changing any laptop settings. Guests can also quickly access local information and services, check the hotels featured amenities, easily surf the web. Once online, guests have all the convenience and access of home or the office. Hotels benefit by providing this service, explains Littlefield. InternetINNS.com hotels attract and retain guests by making eHotel technology available. This guest amenity equates into increased occupancy, enhanced business opportunities and a healthier bottom line. It also helps pave the way for future technology, guest and property management services at InternetINNS.com hotels. Joseph Kwok, President and CEO of eHotel, Inc., stated, We are pleased to enter into this alliance with InternetINNS.com. We believe this partnership positions our companies to move forward aggressively in the ever-changing hospitality industry. The eHotel solution is a perfect fit for the technology InternetINNS.com has in place for its franchised properties and fully integrates with the InternetINNS.com website, Central Reservation System and Property Management System. We are very pleased, states Littlefield, that eHotel provides an affordable solution for delivering wireless Internet access. This partnership addresses an extremely important element in the InternetINNS.com guest amenities program. eHotels willingness and eagerness to tailor their services to fit our requirements allows us to move forward quickly in acquiring properties both for new construction and for conversions to our brand. eHotels high-speed internet solution demonstrates an integral component of the InternetINNS.com unique value proposition; that of combining the spirit of hospitality with the convenience of technology. About eHotel, Inc. Founded in 1999, eHotel (www.myhotel.com) is a Cupertino, California-based technology company committed to providing the next generation of Internet services to hotel guests, conveniently and economically. The company is a premier software provider for metering, management and service infrastructure. eHotel specializes in providing easy and cost-effective high-speed and wireless high-speed Internet access. The companys worldwide services enable hotel management to improve their guest services and thereby increase occupancy and profits. eHotel deploys a server-based system located in the hotel and connects
to the Internet through a high-speed line (dedicated DSL, T1 or ISDN) or
wireless solution. Connectivity within the hotel is wireless and is truly
plug-and-play. It requires no downloads or reconfigurations. The service
leaves no traces on the guests notebook computer. Guests readily access
the Internet without assistance thereby avoiding any burden on the hotel
staff. The eHotel portal acts as an online concierge tailored to feature
the hotels services, those of the city and region, and other valuable
content. Should a guest require assistance in using the connection, eHotel
provides a toll-free 24/7 customer service line to answer questions at
no charge.
InternetINNS.com provides an affordable brand identity package alternative
to the traditionally high costs of franchising. Our solution offers several
significant competitive advantages, says Littlefield. For example, the
InternetINNS.com total monthly fee is considered to be the lowest in the
industry and includes full brand identification support services. PMS software
licensing rights, commission free reservations through the InternetINNS.com
branded CRS travel portal, marketing funds, and other traditional add-on
costs, are all included in our 4% franchise fee thus making InternetINNS.com,
arguably, the most affordable brand in the industry. Most recognized brands
require, on the average, a minimum initial fee of $40,000.00, plus 8% monthly
royalty, adds the CEO. InternetINNS.com requires only a $25,000 licensing
fee for new construction and just $7,500 for conversion properties. In
year one, CEO Littlefield states, a typical InternetINNS.com branded
100-room mid-range hotel would realize a savings of approximately $160,000.00
when compared to an existing typical brand.
