Madison was appointed General Manager of The Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa in September 1999.  Since that time, he has been executing the vision of hotel owner Elaine D. Sammons for the Resort in the 21st Century.  He is currently overseeing three-year, $64 million property improvement program that includes a $40 million, 40,000 square-foot spa and restoration of the resort�s century-old, Donald Ross-designed golf course.

In addition to his latest appointment, Madison is Vice Chairman of the North Carolina Hotel & Motel Association, a Board Member of the North Carolina Travel & Tourism Coalition and on the Board of the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce.

The International Resort Managers Association, founded in 2000, provides networking and educational resources, certification, testing, distance learning, job placement services and other tools needed by resort managers worldwide.
