to Enhance Hotel's Strategic Sales Initiatives |
DALLAS (June 14, 2001) - The Wyndham Anatole Hotel, the Southwest's
largest convention hotel, has added one new member to its sales team and
promoted three, long-term Wyndham veterans to fortify the hotel's strategic
sales initiatives and ensure increased demand for meetings and conventions
at the hotel.
Bruce Hamlin joins the Wyndham Anatole Hotel's sales team as national account manager for the Mid-Atlantic region. Three members of the Wyndham Anatole team, Kevin Owens, Mark Gnatovic and Jesse Valtier, have been promoted to national account manager specializing in diversity meetings, national account manager for the Mid-West region and Wyndham Express Sales manager, respectively. "Bruce, Kevin, Mark and Jesse bring more than 50 years of combined experience
to our existing strong sales force," said Tom Faust, vice president of
sales and marketing for the Wyndham Anatole Hotel. "Each of our new
appointees is a dedicated team player committed to promoting the Wyndham
Anatole Hotel as the prime destination for meetings and conventions."
Further strengthening Wyndham's diversity initiatives, Kevin Owens will work directly with the Wyndham national sales team and the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau to target the Wyndham Anatole Hotel's key minority markets. Additionally, Owens will work with associations and citywide meetings numbering 451 or more rooms. Prior to his appointment to national account manager, Owens was responsible for Wyndham Anatole Hotel sales in the Washington D.C. market. Owens is an active member of the National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners and a number of other organizations that specialize in the diversity market segment. Mark Gnatovic, a veteran member of the Wyndham Anatole's conference management and sales teams, will shift responsibility from the Virginia and Maryland markets to focus on corporate and association groups in the Mid-West region. His nine-state territory includes Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma and Wisconsin. Additionally, he will handle Maritz, Carlson and BI exclusively. Jesse Valtier, a nine-year veteran of the Wyndham Anatole Hotel's food and beverage division, has joined the Wyndham Express Sales team, a division of the Wyndham National Sales team, where he will be responsible for bringing small meetings of 10-35 rooms to the Wyndham Anatole Hotel. Located within a 45-acre campus including the private, seven-acre Anatole Park, the Wyndham Anatole Hotel is convenient to the Dallas Convention Center, Dallas Market Center and the city's two major airports. The property features two high-rise atria; a 27-story tower; 10 shopping boutiques; three swimming pools and 12 unique restaurants and lounges; as well as one of the nation's most beautiful and extensive private art collections. The Wyndham brand is owned and managed by Wyndham International, Inc.
