Motel 6 prides itself on offering its customers consistent quality at the right price.  Our technology arrangement with Pegasus enables Motel 6 to continue to meet this standard by offering customers added convenience when booking a hotel room at one of our properties, said Carol Kirby, group executive vice president of marketing and sales of Accor Lodging North America.  As a result of moving to Pegasus technology, we are able to eliminate the need to manually maintain an additional allotment of inventory in a separate system for Internet bookings.  Now, online reservations will be delivered from the www.motel6.com Web site to our CRS instantaneously with no human intervention.

According to Bryan Donowho, senior vice president, Pegasus Electronic Distribution, with online travel sales reaching an all-time high, hoteliers are stepping up the priority of offering customers the ability to book hotel rooms via the Internet.  Pegasus is providing large hotel companies, like Motel 6 and Red Roof Inns, with a reliable, scalable solution for handling large volumes of Internet reservations, Donowho said.

As U.S. hotel chains enter the high season, it becomes increasingly important that they have reliable online booking engines.  Because the Motel 6 site is the only site where consumers can book Motel 6 rooms and receive an instant confirmation online, its critical that the Motel 6 booking engine be fully operational 24/7, Donowho continued.  Motel 6 turned to the best company to provide that kind of support Pegasus Solutions.  We are very pleased to expand our relationship with the Accor Lodging North America family through our latest assignment with Motel 6.
