Helen Kouyoumdjian, Previously with Crowne 
Plaza Hotels, Named Manager of Chilean 
Tourism Promotion Corporation

 
SANTIAGO, CHILE (April 24, 2001) � The Chilean Tourism Promotion Corporation (Corporación de Promoción Turística de Chile) has appointed Helen Kouyoumdjian as its new manager.

Previously with Crowne Plaza Hotels, Kouyoumdjian brings more than 10 years of travel industry experience to her new position.  As manager of the Chilean Tourism Promotion Corporation based in Santiago, Chile, Kouyoumdjian is responsible for overseeing all of the marketing efforts for the country of Chile.  

Kouyoumdjian will work with various Chilean tourism products in order to increase the awareness of Chile among North Americans as a tourist destination.

The Chilean Tourism Promotion Corporation is a private non-profit entity, whose mission is to promote the Chilean travel industry internationally.  The institution combines the efforts of the public sector, SERNATUR, with a group of private sector partners, to finance the promotion of Chile around the world.  The group has witnessed tremendous growth in the world's interest in Chile for nature lovers, cultural travelers, and adventurers, as well as groups planning conferences and incentive travel.  LanChile Airlines serves as the representative for the Chilean Tourism Promotion Corporation in the United States.
