Kathy A. Bannan Recipient of Pennsylvania�s �Best 50 
Women in Business Award� for 2001

 
April 23, 2001 - Kathy A. Bannan, President of Tiger Vision Hospitality Training, received Pennsylvania�s award for being one of Pennsylvania�s Best 50 Women in Business for 2001.  Created by Governor Ridge in 1996, the awards recognize the significant contributions women make to Pennsylvania�s economy.  The Ridge Administration will honor Bannan and the other winners during an awards reception on Thursday, May 24, at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center.

�It is a great honor for me to join Pennsylvania�s six business journals in acknowledging the personal and professional achievements of this year�s Best 50 Women in Business.  Their extraordinary contributions are indeed deserving of recognition and admiration,� said Gov. Ridge.

An independent panel of judges selected the 50 women from more than 200 nominations based on biographical information, professional and personal accomplishments, community involvement, and advocacy for women in business.

Bannan formed Tiger Vision Hospitality Training in 1998, which offers training and development programs for all service organizations in the travel and hospitality industries.  Prior to starting Tiger Vision Hospitality Training, Bannan served as Corporate Director of Training with Interstate Hotels for nine years and as Director of Human Resources/Training and Development with USAirways for 10 years. 

Tiger Vision Hospitality Training�s vision is that knowledge is power and by increasing the intellectual capital on all levels of an organization, it will have a direct effect on that organization�s retention, morale, job satisfaction, and the bottom line.  Bannan�s client base represents over 15 hotel companies, including the top flags in the United States. 

Tiger Vision Hospitality Training also consults with hospitality organizations in strategic planning, customer service, organizational development, and needs assessments.  Bannan is past president of the American Society for Training & Development. and a active member in the National Speakers Association, the Pennsylvania Speaker�s Association, The Meetings and Hospitality Partnership of Western PA, and is a preferred training provider for the Southwestern Pennsylvania Area Labor Management Consortium.
