(November 29, 2016) Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach is pleased to announce the appointment of Miguel Diaz as director of sales and marketing for Clearwater’s new luxury resort, slated to open in January 2017. Diaz will lead the resort’s sales and catering team in its efforts to appeal to the growing number of affluent leisure and group businesses in the destination.

Diaz brings more than 20 years of hospitality and sales industry experience to the Wyndham Grand portfolio’s newest resort. Previously, Diaz held sales director roles at the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa; Westin Beach Resort & Spa, Fort Lauderdale; Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel; Marenas Beach Resort & Spa; and Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate.

As director of sales and marketing for Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach, Diaz will lead all sales, marketing and revenue generation efforts for the resort. Diaz will also serve as community liaison working with local tourism, economic development, and service groups and organizations, as well as leading all public relations and advertising actions for the resort. He will also work to motivate and mentor the sales, catering and convention services teams to execute impeccable events.
