NH Highway Hotel Group to develop the brand’s first location in New England, a 124-key extended-stay hotel to open mid-2016.

June 17, 2015 – WICHITA, Kan. – WoodSpring Suites, the nation’s fastest growing value segment extended-stay hotel brand, announces plans for the first location in New England. The developer, NH Highway Hotel Group, plans to build the next WoodSpring Suites hotel in Hooksett, NH. The 124-unit hotel will meet the growing extended stay demand in the region and is expected to open mid-2016.

“The WoodSpring Suites brand is needed in New England given the product design and its proven operating model,” says Jeff Larrabee, manager of NH Highway Hotel Group. “WoodSpring Suites extended stay hotel brand is a perfect fit for our site, and we are very excited to hopefully start construction this fall.”

In addition to Hooksett, the hotel will meet demand from nearby Concord and Manchester. Once completed, the hotel will feature such guest amenities as free high-speed internet, guest laundry facilities and in-room kitchens all in an unpretentious room design. These are all part of the company’s “It’s Simple. Done Better.” brand promise.

“The WoodSpring Suites brand has strong appeal to developers and guests, and is a real asset to local communities,” said Bruce Haase, CEO of WoodSpring Suites. “We are excited to partner with Jeff and NH Highway Hotel Group to bring our growing brand to New Hampshire.”

Great American Hotel Group, a WoodSpring approved development and management group, is expected to operate the hotel.

“Apart from this project in Hooksett, we are working with multiple developers in New England who are interested in bringing our brand to the region,” said Ron Burgett, Executive Vice President of Franchise Development for WoodSpring Suites.

WoodSpring Suites, which had a record growth year in 2014, is focused on strategic expansion across the U.S. through corporate- and franchise-owned development. The company expects to break ground on 30 additional properties by the end of the year. Expansion plans through 2017 include the addition of corporate and franchised properties in major metropolitan markets such as Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, Seattle, Miami, Portland, and Minneapolis.
