February 6, 2015. Orlando, FL— Waramaug Hospitality, a private investment group, announced today the completion of a total renovation of the Sheraton Orlando North property. The 389-room property recently underwent a makeover totaling $4.5 million or $12,000 per room.

The work includes all new guestrooms and bathrooms, corridors, club lounge, public spaces and lobby, meeting rooms and conference facilities. The property also upgraded its exterior and landscaping. Guests staying at the hotel can now enjoy the new coffee outlet recently added to the lobby located adjacent to the Sheraton Link while they stay connected with Microsoft® PC terminals and complimentary High Speed Internet access. As part of a welcome respite, travelers can relax in the warm setting of the newly spacious guest rooms complete with a Sheraton Sweet Sleeper® bed, dark mahogany and walnut furnishings, oversized desk, mini refrigerator and large LCD flat panel television. In conjunction with the renovation, the traditional Irish pub An Tobar which closed in 2005 was re-launched. An Tobar features a 60 foot solid wood bar and 3 levels of Dublin streetscape decor, all constructed in Ireland and reassembled by Irish craftsmen at the property.

The renovation also included a restoration of the popular traditional Irish pub restaurant, An Tobar, which is a popular destination bar and gathering place for locals and hotel guests.

“The Sheraton Orlando North hotel bills itself not only as a hotel but as an experience. We’re proud to enhance that experience for our guests and help the staff deliver the ultimate stay in a highly desirable vacation destination. This property measures up strongly to its competitive set and with the renovation, it becomes a clear contender for the guest dollar,” said Jay Litt, Waramaug Hospitality’s Executive Vice President. “Sheraton properties are known for bringing people together and for paying attention to the little things, so this makeover more closely aligns the property with that vision.”

The hotel features 19,000 square feet of flexible meeting space that can accommodate up to 900 people, and its 7,500 square foot Grand Galaxy Ballroom is noted for being welcoming and open with a soaring 15-foot high ceiling.
