ATLANTA, GEORGIA (October 18, 2022)  Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead is pleased to announce the appointment of Juan González Izquierdo as General Manager. González Izquierdo brings more than 19 years of experience in the hospitality industry with luxury hotel brands, including Conrad New York Downtown, The Caryle, a Rosewood Hotel, The Ritz-Carlton and The Peninsula.

In his most recent role, González Izquierdo served as Hotel Manager of the Conrad New York for nearly four years, leading the hotel to its Connie Award in 2021, as well as the “Conrad Brighter Together” recognition in Q1 of 2021 and 2022 in the Americas. He also oversaw the renovation of its guest rooms and banquet spaces. He draws on this valuable experience as he steps into his role at Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead at a pivotal time with the hotel entering the final stages of its extensive property-wide renovation that is set to be fully completed this fall.

González Izquierdo’s diverse background includes a six-year tenure at The Carlyle, a Rosewood Hotel within its Food & Beverage operations, as well as work with The Peninsula New York, Hotel Arts Barcelona, The Ritz London, and more. He earned his diploma in Hotel Management at Swiss hotel management university Les Roches in Marbella, Spain, and continued his higher education at Endicott College in Massachusetts, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management.
