CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – (Sept. 30, 2015) Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. is proud to introduce The Edwin Hotel, a boutique hotel located in the heart of the Bluff View Art District. The Edwin Hotel will offer 90 rooms, upscale décor, a rooftop bar and a restaurant along with a wide range of luxury amenities.

“More than ever, travelers are looking for unique, memorable experiences,” Vision President and CEO Mitch Patel said. “Everything about The Edwin, from its location and name, to its art and food, will celebrate Chattanooga. This hotel couldn’t possibly exist anywhere except our great city.”

The design architect is PV Design, Inc. of Chattanooga, and the interior designer is The Gettys Group, Inc. based in Chicago. In August, the Strauss Company, a local builder, began construction on the project, which has a projected opening in the spring of 2017.

The hotel name celebrates Edwin Thacher who, in 1891, led the development of the iconic Walnut Street Bridge from downtown to today’s North Shore. The Edwin Hotel seeks to honor this enduring landmark by introducing guests to the stylish, Southern culture of Chattanooga.

The Edwin will partner with area merchants and artists to introduce guests and locals alike to regionally sourced products, art, cuisine and outdoor activities such as rock climbing and paddle boarding.

“Sir Isaac Newton famously wrote, ‘We build too many walls and not enough bridges,'” Patel said. “The Edwin will connect visitors to our beloved city and support the advancement of Chattanooga through community partnerships and cultural exchanges.”
