San Juan, PR – September 5, 2017 – Trilogy Spa Holdings announces the appointment of Samara Gonzalez as spa director of Well & Being Spa at El San Juan Hotel. Bringing a diverse background of retail, marketing and spa industry experience to this new role, Gonzalez will implement business-driving initiatives and marketing strategies to transform the newest Well & Being location into Puerto Rico’s top destination spa for both locals and visiting tourists.

In this position, Gonzalez will boost guest loyalty and drive business to the 4,400 square-foot spa and 5,000 square-foot fitness center through the development of creative spa and wellness packages. A lifelong beauty and wellness enthusiast, Gonzalez’s dedication will keep Well & Being at the forefront of the spa and fitness industries, providing hands-on employee training and regular menu and programming updates that will evolve with wellness trends. Gonzalez’s commitment to fostering a client-centric community through exceptional guest experiences and attentive care will provide guests with an entry to wellness that easily translates into daily living.

“Appointing a spa director with a retail-oriented background is a new strategy for Trilogy, and Samara’s fresh perspective inspires guests to view wellness experiences as an asset, not an amenity, while on the road” says Michelle Kinney, senior vice president of operations at Trilogy Spa Holdings. “Her lifelong commitment to wellness, partnered with her business savvy and passion for her hometown of San Juan fits Well & Being’s philosophy of living life with purposeful and positive intentions.”

At Well & Being’s first beach property, Gonzalez will strengthen the connection between travel and wellness through the development of new menus inspired by the beach destination, and creating wellness-focused packages for business and leisure guests. She will also work with the El San Juan Hotel sales team on partnerships that encourage business growth, further solidifying Well & Being’s place as Puerto Rico’s leading wellness retreat. Through a catered and personalized approach to spa guests, her team of 19 specialists will help clients take full advantage of the comprehensive emotional, physical, mental and spiritual benefits of spa therapy, including better sleep courtesy of The Sweet Dreams Aromatherapy Wrap and a deeper mind/body connection after a sunrise yoga session.

A San Juan native, Gonzalez returns to her roots after working in district management for top lifestyle brands including Pacific Sunwear, Claire’s Accessories and Victoria’s Secret. Through her retail experience, Gonzalez gained an understanding of property leadership and sales strategies, which led her to her most recent role as a marketing director for Sunset World Hotel & Resorts in Mexico, where she was responsible for designing new sales and merchandising strategies, managing budget relations and incentivizing staff. In her new role, Samara will blend her knowledge of both business and beauty, encouraging fellow team members, hotel guests and staff to live a life inspired by health and wellness.
