Tampa, Fla. (March 20, 2015) – The Plasencia Group is pleased to announce the sale of the Embassy Suites San Antonio International Airport hotel, located in San Antonio, Texas. The firm represented FelCor Lodging Trust Incorporated (NYSE: FCH), the owner of the 9-story, 261-room hotel. Zachry Hospitality, LLC, a San Antonio-based real estate development, management and investment firm, acquired the property.

Our client was able to further their corporate strategy of exiting non-strategic assets, and the purchaser was able to acquire the leading airport hotel in San Antonio, a city with a diverse and growing demand base,” commented Robert Wiemer, The Plasencia Group’s Senior Vice President who led the disposition team. The Plasencia Group has sold more than 100 hotels in Texas since it was founded in 1993.
The Embassy Suites benefits from its proximity to the San Antonio International Airport, located just half a mile away. The hotel is only seven miles from downtown San Antonio and close to other local attractions, including the Alamo and the shops, bars and restaurants of the San Antonio River Walk.
This transaction marks the largest hotel sale in San Antonio since March 2013.
