Goleta, Calif.—September 11, 2019—The Kimpton Goodland announced today the appointment of long-time Santa Barbara resident and hospitality leader Sylvie Monsivais as Director of Sales and Marketing. In her new role, Monsivais will be responsible for daily sales efforts and positioning of the popular boutique hotel, including internal and external brand communication, as well as customer development.
A highly skilled sales and marketing professional, Monsivais brings 17 years of experience to The Kimpton Goodland. Prior to this role, she served as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Harbor View Inn, a 149-room resort-style hotel located on the coast in Santa Barbara, near the charming State Street shops. There, Monsivais managed group and corporate sales, developed online and print marketing materials, provided budgeting forecasts and aided in the growth of on-property guest activations.

I’m also eager to see how my skillset may benefit the property beyond sales, including programming, brand recognition and customer engagement.”
Monsivais has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California, Santa Barbara and enjoys spending time at the beach with family and friends when she’s not overseeing the Goodland’s marketing and sales efforts.
