JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. (June 9, 2022) — The Jekyll Island Club Resort is proud to welcome Johnny Carino as Resort Executive Chef. Founding chef and namesake of the Johnny Carino Restaurant brand, Carino is an industry-recognized professional who brings over 30 years of culinary experience to the role.This historic Gilded Age resort, managed by Noble House Hotels & Resorts, sits sovereignly on Jekyll Island in the heart of coastal Georgia’s captivating Golden Isles region. The resort features five restaurants and bars, chief among them the AAA Four Diamond-rated historic Grand Dining Room.

Carino has touched every part of the culinary world, from high-end concepts and five-star hotels to global restaurant openings and even television, as host of a cooking show featured on PBS. A graduate of the prestigious Culinary Arts program at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, R.I.  Carino most recently served as Chief Culinary Director for his Chef Johnny Carino Companies. Having worked at hotels on St. Simon’s Island and Sea Island, Georgia, Carino is familiar with the Golden Isles area and the coastal influence and flavors the area is known for.

A skilled leader with experience in all areas of kitchen leadership including team building, operations and controls, restaurant openings, and food and product development, Carino will oversee all food and beverage operations at the Jekyll Island Club Resort including banquets and catering, the Grand Dining Room, The Wharf and Eighty Ocean Kitchen and Bar.
