Edmonds, Washington — June 16, 2015The Hotel Group (THG) is proud to announce several promotions recently of long-standing employees to the executive team. In their new capacities at THG, Katherine Steed is Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Isabel Dreher is Vice President of Human Resources, Robert Avila is Regional Vice President, Operations and Brian Latture is Regional Vice President, Operations.

Since 2003, Vice President of Sales & Marketing Katherine Steed has overseen the sales, marketing and revenue management for the company’s growing portfolio. Early on in her career as a Director of Sales at a THG owned asset in Tennessee, Steed was able to hone in on her love for the hotel business. In her new role, Steed will continue to oversee the existing portfolio needs, focusing on maximizing revenue generation, as well as sales & marketing commitments for new acquisitions. “Hospitality is a way of life and a true passion of mine,” says Steed. “In a business where retention of guests and employees can make or break you, I’m ecstatic to be with a company that does so many things so well.”

A 20-year veteran of the hospitality industry who has come up through the ranks, beginning as a guest service supervisor, Vice President of Human Resources Isabel Dreher, PHR, will continue her oversight of HR for the company and portfolio and will lead the critical initiatives of this changing arena. Her focus remains on great people making a difference, all while continuing to inject more talent into the heart of THG. “During the last decade we have seen HR become one of the most vital parts of our company’s growth,” says Dreher. “I take pride in leading our associates through the ever-evolving HR climate.”

As Regional Vice President of Operations Robert Avila, who has worked in the industry for over 30 years, will continue to work directly with the General Managers and the team members of THG’s owned properties. His deep knowledge of the industry helps him serve as an excellent mentor to the many THG employees who wish to grow their own careers within the company. He will also take on the oversight of most of THG’s third party vendors and will lead contract negotiations and service opportunities/successes. “A hotel is successful because it serves the customer’s needs and creates the type of experience they desire,” states Avilla. “At THG we strive to deliver this every day.”

Regional Vice President of Operations Brian Latture oversees all THG properties in the growing Pacific Northwest region, as well as THG’s Alaska portfolio, all with a talented team of Directors and General Manager’s. Latture’s experience with different brands and management companies, including a General Manager position for a THG asset in Ohio, has provided the foundation for his current path for over 20 years. “THG has provided me opportunity for tremendous growth, and I look forward to continuing that trend by engaging and motivating our best asset – our team members,” said Latture.
