Miami, FL (December 5, 2017) – The Greater Miami & the Beaches Hotel Association (GMBHA), a membership organization comprised of hoteliers and allied members across Miami-Dade County, presented its "Hospitality Leadership Awards" on November 20th, honoring 160 outstanding managers of the various hotel departments. With over 400 guests in attendance, GMBHA’s President & CEO Wendy Kallergis and Past Chair Raj Singh presented the awards at the seventh annual program held at the Mandarin Oriental, Miami.
The GMBHA’s Hospitality Leadership Awards were selected from more than 160 nominations from over 40 hotels and were evaluated by a panel of external judges related to the hospitality industry. This year’s “Manager of the Year” Awards went to Teodora Reytor, Housekeeping Manager, EAST, Miami and James Anderson, Director of Sales & Marketing, Dream South Beach. In addition, thirty winners from other hotel management positions including Assistant General Manager, Catering, Culinary, Engineering, Finance, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Executive Steward, Human Resources, Recreation, Front Office, Sales & Marketing and Security were also recognized.
