PHOENIX (July 1, 2016) – Best Western® Hotels & Resorts announced the addition of The Dana on Mission Bay in San Diego, the fifth North American property to join their rapidly expanding BW Premier Collection portfolio. The BW Premier Collection® is Best Western’s soft brand, consisting of upscale, high-quality independent hotels in key markets that deliver exceptional and unique travel experiences.

“We are pleased to welcome The Dana on Mission Bay in San Diego to the BW Premier Collection,” said Ron Pohl, Best Western Hotels & Resorts’ senior vice president of brand management. “BW Premier Collection gives independent hoteliers the opportunity to preserve their individual identities while enjoying access to Best Western’s brand legacy, support, sales and marketing tools. Hotels that join the BW Premier Collection pay a fee only for the revenue we bring to them, which is quite unique, and is in-line with the flexibility we pride ourselves on affording to owners.”

Surrounded by tropical landscaping, calm waters and soft sandy beaches, The Dana on Mission Bay delivers an exceptional lodging experience for guests of all ages. The waterfront resort offers well-appointed guestrooms or two-room suites that overlook Mission Bay. Amenities include a fitness center, private marina, two outdoor heated swimming pools, and watersport and bicycle rentals on site. The Dana on Mission Bay is conveniently located less than one mile away from beautiful beaches, Belmont Park, SeaWorld San Diego, the San Diego Zoo, the San Diego Convention Center, and the Historic Gaslamp Quarter.

“We are delighted to join the Best Western family as a BW Premier Collection resort,” said Kevin Konopasek, general manager of The Dana on Mission Bay. “In becoming a BW Premier Collection property, we are able to maintain our localized personality, while capitalizing on the global reach of the Best Western brand.”

Currently, the BW Premier Collection portfolio consists of five North American properties and 24 international locations, with approximately 13 more in the pipeline.
