COLORADO SPRINGS, May 2, 2023 – The Broadmoor announced the promotion of David Patterson to vice president of food and beverage. In this leadership role, Patterson will oversee all food and beverage operations while maintaining the resort’s high culinary standards and enriching the resort’s award-winning dining experiences. Prior to this new position, Patterson was The Broadmoor’s executive chef and was responsible for overseeing the iconic resort’s diverse collection of restaurants, cafes, and lounges, as well as servicing over 300,000 square feet of banquet and event space.

With his rich experience in food and beverage, David will bring a new level of excellence and passion to The Broadmoor.”

Patterson joined the Forbes 5-star, AAA 5-diamond Broadmoor as executive sous chef in January 2013 after working with Alain Ducasse restaurants in New York, Paris and Monaco. He was appointed as The Broadmoor’s executive chef in 2017. A former executive chef of Hotel Hana-Maui, his career led him to host the prestigious James Beard House dinner, “A Taste of Maui.” As a young sous chef at Maisonette in Cincinnati, David was introduced to the world of Stars and Diamonds in the restaurant that earned five of each for 42 consecutive years. Throughout his tenure, he has traveled extensively to explore and discover the exciting world of food and its traditions in South Korea, China, Thailand, Singapore, India, Egypt and Jordan.
