Names Rodney M. Brittain as GM and Rini Wulandari Stoltz as DOSM

NORMAL, Ill. – (April 8, 2015) – The Bricton Group (www.bricton.com), management company of the soon-to-open Hyatt Place Bloomington/Normal, has filled two key positions with seasoned candidates who plan to bring the highest levels of service to the new hotel.

Rodney M. Brittain, the new general manager, has worked in almost every aspect of the hospitality industry for nearly 30 years, and is an active member of the Bloomington-Normal community. Rini Wulandari Stoltz, the new director of sales and marketing, most recently led a major growth initiative at the Grand Hyatt Jakarta, and has made an impact on several hotels in Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia.

Hyatt Place Bloomington/Normal will be the area’s newest hotel. Located in the heart of burgeoning Uptown Normal, Tartan Realty Group (www.tartanrealtygroup.com) and CA Ventures (www.ca-ventures.com) continue construction of the property which is scheduled to open in August 2015. With 114 rooms and 2,400 square feet of meeting and event space, Hyatt Place will greatly expand travel options for visitors to Illinois State University (ISU), Country Financial, State Farm Insurance and Advocate BroMenn Medical Center.

Rodney M. Brittain – Local Community Leader with National Experience

After receiving his BA in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Oklahoma State University, Rodney M. Brittain began his hospitability career in Scottsdale, Arizona with Stouffer Hotels and Resorts nearly 30 years ago. Since then, he has worked in almost every hotel department, bringing that knowledge and high-level leadership skills to the new Hyatt Place Bloomington/Normal.

For the past 10 years he has lived in the Bloomington area with his wife and son. He is currently president of the Bloomington-Normal Hotel and Lodging Association and is also active in many charities including The Friends of Kirbie, a memorial foundation named after his daughter who he lost in 2008. Through the foundation, Brittain and his family award college scholarships to five Bloomington-Normal area graduating seniors each year.

Rini Wulandari Stoltz – International Achievements in Hospitality

Rini Wulandari Stoltz joins Hyatt Place Bloomington/Normal with more than 15 years of international sales, strategic planning and marketing experience. She has been recognized for her achievements at several major hotels in Indonesia, including the Grand Hyatt Jakarta and the Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta.

Stoltz earned a BS in International Relations from Universitas Katolik Parahyangan, Bandung, Indonesia, and a Professional Development Program certificate in Strategic Marketing for Hotels and Restaurants from Cornell University. She is an active traveler and photographer, using her SLR camera to capture memories of her journeys to 24 countries on four continents.
