CLE ELUM, WASH. (February 2023) – Suncadia Resort, situated on the sunny side of the Cascade Mountains in the charming town of Cle Elum, Wash., welcomes Director of Food and Beverage and Inn Operations Andrew Wilson to the 6,400-acre all-seasons resort.

“I’m thrilled to return to the esteemed Suncadia Resort and showcase my leadership experience to spearhead the continued evolution of the food and beverage offerings,” said Wilson. “Watching my children grow up in Cle Elum, the town is near and dear to my heart and I look forward to expanding upon our relationships with neighboring purveyors to offer elevated, seasonal dishes to locals and guests alike.”

A resident of Washington for over 40 years and a Cle Elum resident since 2007, Wilson brings more than two decades of culinary leadership experience and an intimate knowledge of the community and property to his role. Wilson previously served as executive chef during the resort’s opening and held the role of general manager for Swiftwater Cellars in 2013. Most recently, as regional director of Compass One at Amazon and Compass Group at Microsoft, Wilson directed operations of 26 food and beverage outlets, servicing over 5,000 employees a day, where he managed a $70 million budget and led a team of more than 680 staff.

“We are thrilled for Andrew to return home to Suncadia Resort and implement his thoughtful leadership and expertise in the industry to continue to drive awareness and guest satisfaction,” said Noni Hughes, general manager at Suncadia Resort.

The resort’s signature restaurants include The Stovehouse – the newest offering celebrating the destination’s historic past with local cuisine and a robust beverage program – and Portals Restaurant, offering artisan meals crafted with local inspiration and seasonal ingredients with panoramic views of the Cascade Mountains. The resort is also home to Fifty-6 Degrees, an intimate cocktail lounge with a seasonal, rotating menu; Nellie’s Restaurant, an alfresco poolside eatery; Swiftwater Cellars Winery atop Coal Mine No. 9; Coal House MarketMulligans at the ninth hole of Prospector Golf Course; and Cascades Food Truck and Bar, a seasonal, roaming dining option. From the herbs and vegetables that are carefully grown in the resort’s Hay Creek Garden, to wine and spirits that have been brewed and aged in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, dining at Suncadia is a tribute to Washington State.
