Hot on the heels of its announcement to open the InterCityHotel Culture Village in Dubai at the end of 2017, Steigenberger Hotels announces the launch of its inaugural five-star property in this important market, the Steigenberger-managed Hotel at Business Bay in Dubai, which will open doors to guests in October 2015.

This landmark opening, along with pipeline hotels in Dubai and Qatar – the InterCityHotel Culture Village in Dubai and the Steigenberger Hotel Doha Airport Road – sees Steigenberger’s world-renowned German hospitality set to expand into the United Arab Emirates before the end of the year.

The new hotel will offer five-star facilities at the very heart of the city. Located a stone’s throw from the iconic Burj Khalifa skyscraper, this new addition to Steigenberger’s impressive portfolio of hotels is both close to Dubai’s historic old quarter and yet within reach of the fabulous shopping opportunities available at the “Dubai Mall”.

Puneet Chhatwal, CEO of Steigenberger Hotels AG, commented: “Having recently announced hotel openings in Istanbul, Munich, Cairo, and Mallorca, the opening of the new hotel at Business Bay re-affirms our commitment to international growth and the Middle East in particular. The hotel in Dubai is symbolic of our growing international presence at strategically important locations.”

Made possible by a contractual partnership with Twenty14 Holdings, the hospitality arm of LuLu Group International, a highly diversified multinational entity operating out of 31 countries, Steigenberger will operate the hotel under a Management Agreement.

Adeeb Ahamed, Managing Director of Twenty14 Holdings, said: “We are delighted to work with such a reliable partner as the Steigenberger Hotel Group. Together we will build a strong presence commencing with October’s opening of our hotel in Dubai and expand into other important destinations around Europe and Middle East.”

In line with the Steigenberger Hotel Group’s portfolio of luxury properties, the new hotel at Business Bay with 365 rooms and suites will provide the highest degree of comfort for travellers staying for business or leisure, and the hotel will boast no fewer than five different restaurants to make sure every taste is catered for. A banqueting and conference area will offer up an exciting new venue to stage events, while the Spa and fitness area, featuring a pool, offers guests the option to relax or workout whilst enjoying panoramic views across the city.

Siegfried Nierhaus, Vice President of Steigenberger Hotel Group in the Middle East, concludes: “We are excited to work together with our business partners and future clients to celebrate a culture of refined German hospitality with this opening.”
