Wisconsin Dells, Wis – July 19, 2016Stand Rock Hospitality, a leading indoor waterpark resort and hotel development and management company headquartered in Wisconsin Dells, Wis., is pleased to announce the appointment of Josef Haas as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

In his new role, Haas oversees the operations of several nationally acclaimed hotel and resort properties including Wilderness at the Smokies in the Smoky Mountains, Tenn., and the newly opened Camelback Lodge & Indoor Waterpark Resort in the Pocono Mountains, Pa., (named the #1 indoor waterpark by USA Today’s 10Best poll), and Hampton Inn & Suites Milwaukee West in West Allis, Wis.

Haas has had a long and successful career in the hotel and hospitality industry that spans more than 40 years, and throughout three continents and six countries. He’s held senior management positions with several four and five star resorts in Hawaii and has been involved in the launch of four indoor waterpark resorts from pre-construction through grand opening, responsible for the staffing, operations and marketing. Prior to joining Stand Rock Hospitality, Haas was the chief operating officer with Kalahari Resort, general manager for Blue Harbor Resort, owned and operated at the time by Great Wolf Resorts, and executive vice president for Keystone Resort. Haas holds a degree in hospitality management from Wien Hotel College in Vienna, Austria and is a Certified Hotel Administrator through the American Hotel Association.
