Stevenson, Wash. (April, 2015) – Skamania Lodge, A Destination Hotel, has announced a property refresh for 2015, which will deliver major aesthetic and technology improvements in the conference center, as well as a fresh look and feel to the 254 guestrooms. Located 45 minutes from Portland, Ore. in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, Skamania Lodge has been a leading destination for meetings and leisure guests since 1994.

As a member of the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC), Skamania Lodge adheres to strict quality standards for its top-of-the-line meeting spaces, and is now enhancing its offerings with all new audio-visual equipment, including 72-inch smart TVs and projection screens, and increased 100MB bandwidth. The conference center also has installed custom-designed wool carpeting and all-new wall coverings with a tackleable surface in rich, natural colors that will make a visual impact on meeting guests.

“Our lodge is a relaxing Pacific Northwest escape and a go-to conference center on a national scale, so it’s important that we continue investments in the property that benefit both audiences, and ensure they return year-after-year” said Ken Daugherty, the general manager at Skamania Lodge. “Every enhancement is reflective of our commitment to modern technology and amenities, as well as to the traditional design of our Cascadian-style lodge.”

Making a $2 million investment over the past three years, the renovation also extends to the guestrooms, which are receiving new mattresses, linens and pillows, as well as drapery and throws in warm earth tones and pops of color. The aesthetic changes will provide a clean, Northwest-inspired look to the guestrooms and, along with the installation of new 48-inch TVs, will deliver the guest experience that today’s travelers expect.
