Shoreline Hotel Waikiki, and Coconut Waikiki Hotel are pleased to announce the appointment of their Director of Sales and Marketing, Laurie Wong Ihara. She will be integral to leading the hotels’ marketing initiatives, business development, and growing partnerships within the community and affiliate hospitality businesses to two properties, both centrally located in the heart of Waikiki.

“I am excited to join this team and bring a different approach to marketing and sales initiatives to continue growing the boutique properties,” said Laurie Wong Ihara. “My goal is to deliver memorable guest experiences and drive more visitors and tourism to our unique hotels.”

Prior to joining the hotel, Laurie most recently served as the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani where she successfully executed strategies to achieve revenue goals, developed new business prospects and established strong partnerships with travel affiliates. Prior to this, she led the Group Team as Director of Sales for Starwood Hotels and Resorts including Sheraton Waikiki, The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort, Moana Surfrider, a Westin Resort & Spa, and the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani. Born and raised in Hawaii, Laurie ventured to the mainland and spent time in Los Angeles, California and Washington D.C. as the Regional Sales Director for the Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau before returning to the islands.

Laurie’s passion is spending time with her family and visiting the North Shore. She is an avid reader, gardener and enjoys networking. In her spare time, Laurie also volunteers at the Waikiki Improvement Association, and works with Boy Scouts Aloha Council.
