With the appointment of Thuy Tranthi Rieder as group vice president of sales & marketing, Rosewood Hotel Group international hotel management company has added strong leadership to the company’s sales and marketing force to support its ambitious expansion and growing presence in the global luxury hospitality arena.

Ms. Tranthi Rieder brings over 20 years’ marketing, sales and general management experience leading global teams in consumer, luxury and hospitality brands. In her role, she will oversee the branding, communications, sales, marketing and e-commerce strategy for the group, which manages three distinctive brands with a combined portfolio of 55 properties in 18 countries and a target to operate 120 hotels by 2020.

“Thuy’s experience in building global brands with leading consumer and luxury groups will be invaluable to the group’s growing worldwide presence,” says Symon Bridle, group chief operating officer of Rosewood Hotel Group.

Prior to joining Rosewood Hotel Group, Ms. Tranthi Rieder was chief marketing and communications officer for a Geneva-based, privately held portfolio of luxury hospitality, sports and leisure properties. Previously, she held global marketing leadership roles and was an executive board member for the Lancel and Chloé brands of the Richemont Group. While at LVMH – Moet Hennessy Luis Vuitton, she held positions as president, Celine USA; president, Thomas Pink USA; and general manager of Louis Vuitton Hawaii. Earlier stages of her career were spent at Disney Consumer Products, Elizabeth Arden Company and in the financial industry.

Ms. Tranthi Rieder holds an MBA degree from Harvard University, M.Phil. degree from the University of Cambridge and BA degree from Barnard College, Columbia University.
