Western Australia’s most luxurious and largest hotel, Crown Towers Perth, is recording unprecedented in-room food and beverage orders thanks to a recent technology update and new guest app, driving its in-room dining menu.

Following McLaren and Telstra’s technology install, the 500 room hotel has recorded more than 2,000 in-room dining orders per month through its new hotel guest app and devices.

Increased dining figures are just one of the many benefits the hotel is experiencing following the conclusion of the guestroom tech update conducted by hospitality solution specialist, McLaren Technologies, in partnership with Telstra.

“Crown Towers Perth may have opened less than 12 months ago, but they are showing leadership by investing in new room automation technology to constantly work on delivering the perfect guest experience,” explained McLaren Technologies Managing Director, Matthew White.

“New Samsung tablets have been provided in all guest rooms at the hotel – with user friendly apps installed to allow for all manner of conveniences at the swipe of a finger – including automated room controls that adjust lighting, room temperature and window treatments, through to concierge requests and in-room dining orders.”

McLaren configured each Samsung tablet with two key products that work together to deliver a seamless, integrated service for guests.

“We have implemented Intelity's Guest Service Platform, an award-winning software created by marker leaders Intelity, which allows for an interactive customer experience that provides a seamless digital interface for guests to order services across the hotel and to link and communicate between all major back-end management systems at the hotel such as Opera PMS, Micros POS PMS, and Inncom room controls by Honeywell Hospitality Solutions,” said Mr. White. “Telstra’s Digital Concierge delivers a premium level of customer service for hotel guests, while driving enhanced efficiency and flexibility for hotels. Telstra’s digitally integrated solution delivers a step-change in customer service, and we look forward to continually raising the bar in service excellence through technology innovation”, said Telstra Executive Director Solutions, David Coventry.

Executive General Manager – Crown Hotels Perth, Andrew Cairns, said each room has been intelligently designed with the latest technology, providing guests with an unparalleled hotel experience that has been further improved by this new guestroom tech update.

“We are constantly looking for ways to enhance our resort experience and by working with McLaren and Telstra we have been able to deliver on our promise of setting a new benchmark for luxury in Australian tourism. By providing room automation technology via a smart device and innovative guest app, we are able to provide a completely seamless guest experience,” said Mr Cairns.
