DALLAS (March 27, 2018) – Omni Hotels & Resorts today announced Daniel Surette’s promotion to senior vice president of sales and marketing. In his role, Surette will continue to lead the brand’s sales strategy to position Omni as a leader in the luxury hospitality marketplace. In addition, he will oversee revenue management, marketing and loyalty. Surette will continue to report to newly appointed president, Peter Strebel.

Since joining Omni in August 2017, Surette has overhauled the company’s sales compensation model, developed a new group marketing campaign and inspired sales teams through promotional and recognition programs.

Prior to joining Omni, Surette worked at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. for more than 15 years where he served as the vice president of North America sales and field marketing. In this role, he oversaw a team of 68 regional marketing experts handling sales and marketing for 600+ Starwood properties.

Surette attended Johnson & Wales University where he earned a degree in hospitality management. Throughout his career, Surette has been a member of several leading professional organizations, including Meeting Professionals International (MPI), Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and Hotel Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI).
