April 1, 2016 – New World Hotels & Resorts will manage New World Guangzhou Hotel when it opens in 2018 as part of the brand’s robust expansion in mainland China, including upcoming hotels in Langfang (2016), Qingyuan (2017), Shenyang (2017), Zhengzhou (2017) and Foshan (2018.)

Located in the Baiyun District, New World Guangzhou Hotel will be situated in a mixed-use development comprising offices, serviced apartments and shopping centre which will be linked directly to the Jiahe Wanggang subway station. In addition, it will only be 10 minutes’ drive to the well-known Baiyun Mountain scenic area and 20 minutes to Baiyun International Airport.

New World Guangzhou Hotel will feature 279 rooms and suites at a minimum size of 45 square metres and include the brand’s signature Residence Club executive floors. Four dining options will include a café with landscaped outdoor space, a Chinese restaurant, an Asian tavern and a lobby lounge. Meeting facilities will total 2,800 square metres to include a 1,000-square-metre ballroom, bridal suite, meeting rooms, and a 400-square-metre outdoor event lawn ideal for cocktail receptions and product launches. Recreational facilities will encompass a gym, a rooftop outdoor pool and a spa with three single treatment rooms and one double treatment suite.

The hotel’s design team includes Hirsch Bedner Associates creating the guestrooms and public spaces, NACO responsible for restaurants and bars while Place Design Group will be designing the landscape.
