BOSTON (June 14, 2018) – Omni Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce the appointment of Sean P. Reardon as director of sales and marketing for the new Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport. Effective June 18, 2018, Reardon will lead the luxury hotel’s sales team and will oversee all sales and marketing efforts including managing, developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies that drive group, catering, business and leisure travel revenue for the property set to open in early 2021.

Executives from Omni Hotels & Resorts alongside Governor Charlie Baker, Mayor Martin J. Walsh, the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) and New Boston Hospitality broke ground on the highly anticipated Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport last month.

“We’re confident that Sean’s decades of experience in the hospitality industry and Boston market will ensure a successful launch of our highly anticipated Boston hotel,” said Dan Surette, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Omni Hotels & Resorts. “We are thrilled to have his expertise and passion for customer engagement and service in the Omni family.”

Most recently, Reardon headed his own hospitality sales and marketing consulting business, Sean P. Reardon Consulting, LLC. His firm specialized in transitional sales and marketing leadership, strategy formulation and evaluation, brand analysis and sales leadership mentoring in hotels, resorts and conference centers in the New England and Mid-Atlantic states. Prior to that, he led the sales efforts at The Liberty, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Boston since its opening in 2006. Prior to joining The Liberty, Reardon was the director of sales and marketing at Westin Copley Place Boston and held numerous leadership sales positions within Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide. Reardon has also led sales efforts at a variety of New England hotels outside of Boston, bringing an incredible depth of regional knowledge and local expertise to the Omni team.

Set to open in early 2021 on the two-acre parcel of Massport-owned land at the corner of Summer and D Streets, Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport will be a catalyst to the development in the Seaport District. The hotel will feature 1,055 finely appointed guest rooms inclusive of 52 suites that will top out at 21 floors. Select suites will feature views of the Boston Harbor. The hotel will house approximately 100,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space with the largest hotel ballroom in Boston's Seaport District, and numerous dining experiences. Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport will become a part of Omni's robust, and growing, Convention Center Collection, which features signature properties in Atlanta, Louisville, Dallas, Fort Worth and Nashville. Upon opening, it will be the largest hotel in Omni's portfolio.

Reardon holds a bachelor of business administration in marketing management from Pace University. He and his wife live in Andover, Massachusetts with their three sons.
