HOUSTON – February 26, 2020 – The Holiday Inn ® hotel at Houston Intercontinental Airport is celebrating its grand reopening after undergoing a multimillion-dollar renovation. The hotel now features 414 stylish rooms and the new Texas-fare diner, Blue Dixie Kitchen.

Leisure or business travelers will be treated to functional, flexible and enjoyable spaces to meet their various needs during their stay. From the moment guests walk into the lobby until they lay their head down at night, every space has been renovated, refreshed or redesigned to ensure a pleasurable experience.

In addition to the upgrades to the guest rooms, business center and lobby, the renovation includes the opening of Blue Dixie Kitchen. The Southern-inspired restaurant features the signature BDK BBQ Sauce, homemade-style specialties, local craft beers on tap, and $9-dollar lunch specials.

Renovation Highlights Include:

  • New Guestrooms: To ensure a comfortable stay, the flooring, walls, lighting, artwork, televisions, furniture and beds were replaced and upgraded.
  • Fitness and Play Facilities: Whether it’s hitting the treadmill or the pool, the hotel has unique amenities that provide guests with a variety of fitness and recreational options. Sand volleyball courts, a refurbished tennis court, an upgraded fitness center with state-of-the-art cardio and weight equipment, and new lounge furniture for the pool deck are all catered to the individual or family.
  • Getting Work Done: Holiday Inn® – Houston Intercontinental Airport provides multiple options for the business traveler. Guests can have their own remote office or schedule a meeting at one of the multiple conference rooms on-site. The seven spaces total more than 8,000 square feet to offer adaptable and customizable rooms for any occasion. Guests will also be treated to a redesigned lobby and an arrival lounge that offers quick access to plug-in and work in a comfortable environment.
  • Tasty Bites and Signature Drinks: In addition to Blue Dixie Kitchen, the hotel’s Market Place offers “grab-and-go” food and drink options that are designed with convenience in mind.
