SAN RAFAEL, CALIF. (Sept. 19, 2016) – Mosaic Hotel Group has announced the appointment of Richard Hill as President and Chief Operating Officer. Hill is responsible for all the operational aspects of the growing collection of award-winning, curated hotels, overseeing operational standards that are geared toward providing modern travelers with an immersive experience of local culture and community, heightened by truly personal service.

Hill is based at Mosaic's headquarters in San Rafael, California. Owned by Palisades Hospitality Group, Mosaic's portfolio currently includes three hotels in California with new hotels under development in Napa, California, and Mexico City, Mexico. Current properties include Colony Palms Hotel in Palm Springs, El Dorado Hotel in Sonoma and North Block Hotel in Yountville.

Hill joined Mosaic from Solage Hotels & Resorts, a San Francisco-based brand of Auberge Resorts, where he served as President from 2014 through mid-2016. Beginning in 2006, Hill was the founding General Manager of the company's flagship resort, Solage Calistoga in the Napa Valley, one of the most awarded resorts in Northern California. Hill oversaw the renovation of the resort's 20,000 square foot Spa Solage and Michelin Star restaurant Solbar, as well as the purchase of an offsite restaurant, rebranded as Evangeline, in downtown Calistoga.

Before Solage Calistoga, Hill honed his management skills at other Auberge Resorts properties including, Director of Operations at Calistoga Ranch and The Lodge at CordeValle, and as a Project Manager at corporate headquarters in Mill Valley, California. His past experience also includes management positions at a variety of four and five star resorts throughout North America.

Hill is the founder and chairman of the Love Gracefully foundation serving disadvantaged individuals and families.
