AUGUST 30, 2017 (ORANGE COUNTY, CALIF.) – Today, Montage International has announced the appointment of Brian Karaba to the position of executive vice president, chief financial officer, for the company. In this role, Karaba will be responsible for finance, accounting, tax, insurance, asset management, strategic planning, capital markets and investor relations. Karaba will also work closely with the company's acquisitions and development team in identifying, evaluating and securing capital to fund Montage International's growth strategy.

Karaba brings a broad range of financial experience to Montage International, including structuring and executing complex financial transactions, expertise in both debt and equity markets, and deep experience in investor relations, management reporting, treasury, and budgeting and forecasting. Prior to accepting the role with Montage International, he held the positions of treasurer and senior vice president, investor relations and corporate finance for Hyatt Hotels Corporation, where he had worked since 2007. He was responsible for managing a global team of finance professionals and provided leadership within Hyatt's organization in the following categories: treasury, investor relations, development finance/valuation, corporate strategy, capital strategy, and feasibility. Karaba served as a key company spokesperson to the financial community and was responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with analysts and investors. He played a lead role in managing Hyatt's quarterly earnings process, including drafting the earnings release and earnings call script, as well as interacting with investors and sell-side analysts to discuss results. Prior to joining Hyatt Hotels, Karaba worked at Marriott International for 10 years, with the last five years spent as vice president of the lodging finance, business development and global asset management groups.

Karaba graduated summa cum laude and first in class from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Maryland.
