Mercure Tel Aviv Gets on Board with Intelity's Mobile Guest Service Technology
June 27, 2013 12:22pm
TEL AVIV and ORLANDO, Fla., June 27, 2013 - Mercure Tel-Aviv City Center and Intelity announced today that they are entering into a partnership that will bring guest service technology for mobile devices to the hotel in Israel. The installation will be completed by longtime Intelity partner GuestVision, a broadband, interactive service provider to hotels.
"We are proud to introduce Intelity's software to the Mercure Tel-Aviv, as part of our ongoing commitment to bring the finest technology and services to hotels in the region," said Isaac Zur, GuestVision general manager.
Intelity's ICE provides guests carrying personal mobile devices at this hotel with access to all services at the touch of a fingertip, from looking up hotel information to scheduling housekeeping requests. Its availability will serve as a bonus luxury amenity at the hotel, which boasts 103 elegantly designed rooms, free WiFi access in all rooms and public areas, and close proximity to many of the city's cultural and commercial landmarks.
It will also place Mercure Tel-Aviv in an advantageous position within the international market as one of a growing number of hotels that are looking to enhance their technological offerings in the face of the flourishing trend of mobile device ownership.
Though information technology spending in Europe, the Middle East and Africa declined in 2012, spending is expected to return to growth this year and reach $1.247 trillion by 2016, according to IT research and advisory firm Gartner. By 2016, two-thirds of the workforce in this region will own a smartphone or tablet.
"Offering this cutting-edge technology will allow us to connect in new, exciting ways with our guests," said Hagai Arbiv, general manager at Mercure Tel-Aviv. "This will mark a new chapter for guest services at our hotel."
Nir Zefania, the hotel's deputy general manager and marketing director, added, "By offering ICE technology in our hotel, we aim to increase our ability to connect with our guests and provide a truly distinguished level of guest services."
Intelity President and CEO David said, "Mobile technology has shaped expectations when it comes to travel. We are very enthusiastic to help better satisfy modern guests of Mercure Tel-Aviv. With the assistance of forward-thinking partners such as GuestVision, our goal is to equip hotels with the technology necessary to create a more complete and modern guest experience."
