ASHEVILLE, NC (April 16th, 2019) – With new leadership comes fresh perspective toward an already established and vibrant hotel concept. McKibbon Hospitality, the owner and manager of Aloft Asheville Downtown, welcomes Drew Walls as its General Manager following his 10-year stint at the Renaissance Asheville Hotel. As a purveyor of homegrown community service, Walls abides by the warm-hearted personal motto of: “In a world where you can be anything…be kind!” And with that, Walls will lead the team at Aloft Asheville Downtown to create an authentic customer service approach.

The newly appointed Walls began his journey in the hotel industry as a front desk manager 25 years ago in Roanoake, VA, and has remained with Marriott hotels ever since. He is excited to begin this new adventure at Aloft Asheville Downtown and plans to continue the fun, vibrant atmosphere of the hotel. “We are very excited to welcome Drew into the Aloft Asheville Family and look forward to him adding to the culture and

Walls replaces David McCartney who acted as General Manager of the hotel for over five years. McCartney has been promoted to General Manager of new hotel concept, Hotel Arras in downtown Asheville, which is slated to open its doors this summer.
