CHICAGO (July 21, 2019) – Cloud5 Communications, a leading provider of communications solutions for the world’s top hotel brands and management companies, today announced the appointment of Page Petry to the Company’s Board of Directors. The addition of Petry, who served as Chief IT Officer of the Americas at Marriott International, further reinforces Cloud5 as the leading communications technology and services provider in the industry.

“I am delighted to welcome Page to our Board,” said Mark Holzberg, Cloud5’s President and CEO. “There are few people who have as much experience managing and scaling hospitality technology and applications as she does. I’ve known Page for many years and am confident our company will benefit from her insights and industry perspective on expanding our strategy and delivering value for our clients. This is especially true now as we adapt to the dynamic challenges facing the hospitality industry and the role Cloud5 is playing to support our customers while building our business.”

Petry retired from Marriott in March after more than 30 years of service. As Chief IT Officer of the Americas at Marriott International, she was charged with directing information technology strategy and performance as well as guest quality of service, with responsibility for 4000+ hotels that span from Canada to Argentina.

“Cloud5 is a dynamic, growing company that offers what every hotel enterprise IT department needs – a trusted partner that has its finger on the pulse of industry technology, especially in a post-COVID environment,” said Petry. “I have great respect for Mark and the world-class team he has assembled and look forward to collaborating with them as they continue to evolve the company with thoughtful innovation and mindfulness that will contribute to the rebuilding and ultimate success of the industry.”

Petry joined Marriott in 1979 and has held positions of increasing responsibility in several areas including Hotel Operations, Customer Call Centers and Regional Information Systems. Following her initial tenure with Marriott, Petry worked with Fannie Mae and Varsity Books.com before rejoining Marriott in 2000 as the Southeast Regional Director of IR North American Lodging. She later moved up to the Americas Continent organization as the Chief Information Resources Officer. In 2011, Petry was honored with a place on the Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leaders.

For over four years, Petry served on the Board of Governors and as vice president for HTNG, the leading hospitality technology association in the industry. She also sat on the Board of Directors at the Academy of Information Technology for Montgomery County Public Schools and the National Academy Foundation STEM Advisory Board until her retirement.
