CHICAGO–(July 11, 2016)– The Marriott AC Hotel Chicago Downtown, owned and managed by Marcus® Hotels & Resorts, today announced that Nicole Casaletto has been appointed director of sales and marketing.

In her new role, Casaletto will be responsible for leading sales strategies and initiatives for the hotel, managing all group room bookings and business accounts, and maximizing all revenue streams. Prior to joining the AC Hotel Chicago Downtown, Casaletto served as group sales manager and business travel sales manager for The Godfrey Hotel Chicago, where she was part of the pre-opening team for the 221-room luxury boutique property. She exceeded all 2014, 2015 and 2016 quarterly group sales goals.

Casaletto previously served as a sales manager for Wyndham Glenview Suites in Glenview, Ill. She also served as a group sales manager for Inn of Chicago, as well as regional sales manager for The North Central Group in Middleton, Wis. Casaletto began her career in hospitality as a sales manager for Marcus Hotels & Resorts in 2008. She received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia in Columbia, Mo.

“Nicole’s vast experience in sales along with her knowledge of the Chicago hotel and travel market will be a valuable asset to our lifestyle brand,” said Chris Zarek, general manager. “We are excited to have her on our team.”

Located at the popular corner of Rush and Ontario streets, just one block west of Chicago’s Michigan Avenue, the 226-room AC Hotel Chicago Downtown celebrated its one-year anniversary in June. The hotel is part of a growing portfolio of more than 50 hotels expected to open in the next few years in the U.S. and Latin America and was the fourth AC Hotel by Marriott to debut in the U.S.

The AC Hotel’s progressive style, European aesthetics, modern technologies and communal functional spaces are appealing to guests and locals alike. Inspired by the fashion houses of Milan and blending European style with minimalist design, AC Hotels create a comfortable atmosphere for guests and an unfussy alternative to the one-size-fits-all hotel. Based on a belief that purposeful design improves lives, each guest room carefully curates the items that guests need and edits what they don’t. The result is elegant yet unpretentious style, innovative “Beverage & Food” programming and locally inspired experiences for guests and locals.
