ATLANTA (February 7, 2017) — The Westin Atlanta Perimeter North, managed by Marcus® Hotels & Resorts, has named Paul Harris restaurant chef for its on-property restaurant, SAVOR bar & kitchen.

In his new role at SAVOR bar & kitchen, one of TripAdvisor’s top 50 restaurants in Atlanta, Harris will manage the culinary program, supervise daily kitchen operations, oversee menu development and ensure diners have an exceptional culinary experience.

Harris’ first task is the creation of a new seasonal menu and a strong focus on healthy and local farm-to-table daily specials. This will provide diners the option to enjoy an array of new creative dining choices. “I feel strongly that this underlines our commitment to renewal and well-being, and will ensure our menu always has a new, inspiring offering for our dining community,” said Harris.

A seasoned hotel chef, Harris was executive sous chef at Hyatt Regency Perimeter and banquet chef at Ritz-Carlton Buckhead. He is a member of American Culinary Federation’s local and national chapters. When not in the kitchen, Harris frequently volunteers with Open Hand, preparing and delivering meals to those who are homebound, disabled or too sick to cook for themselves.

Chef Harris' commitment to giving back comes from his years of military service. Harris managed culinary operations at Georgia's Fort Stewart from 2006 to 2013, where he prepared food for more than 400 military personnel, including daily meals and special event menus. His wealth of experience overseeing and training a culinary team reflects the dedication to teamwork that he brings to the kitchen at Westin Atlanta Perimeter North.
